I teach across disciplinary contexts, ranging from First-Year Writing to Professional Writing. 

One of my goals is to help students think critically about their role as communicators and to help them develop the communication and critical thinking skillsets necessary for creating compelling, accurate, and ethical arguments. 

My parallel goal is to help students think critically about the ways that effective communication is defined and legitimized by the institutions within which their communication practices take place.
